Well, first of all I know its a bit too early to fully explore the full extent of the changes and what they mean, but this is just a post about my first impressions.
The removal of the Celestial Amulet hit us harder then anyone, but the new Amulets bring alot of new options.
The change to Diamond skin was good for the game but poorly implemented, haveing to be hit to get the condi clense on a class with no universal clense or resistance and a low HP pool is a killer against any condi necro or revenant.
The buffs to thiefs autos have made the fight even harder with 1 mistake being an instand down.
The power to remove boons witch we rely on eavily as increased and that makeing surviveing even against one person (necros again) super hard.
The almost complete removal of Amulets with good defensive stats for us with low HP AND armor, makes overloading during a fight (even with stab on) suicide cause that 40% dmg reduction on protection isnt saveing anyone for that long.
The Aura duration nerf haven’t helped their mostly mediocre effects, aside from the magnetic aura and the harder to get shocking aura, the other 2 aren’t very impressive on Elementalist, cause lets face it… we dont really like to get hit very often.
These are just views from a very early stage and solely in the PvP area.
So please share your opinions, i’d like to read about them a lot.

Yah, Thief AA is a joke compared to Ele Scepter AA ikr. Everyone must be lying when they say Thief gets a huge buff. It’s not like Ele Scepter didn’t get that huge 50% buff on Shatterstone!

Gray out the HP for future condition damage
Already quit PvP. Just log in here and there to troll.

Lol what? thieves were always easy to kill on tempest/ele’s especially when u use dagger/focus u will hardly lose against them.

Since i play tempest thiefs were no problem. The damage buff will bring them closer.
The only problem i had with thiefs was to catch them but the usually don´t win….
Can´t say it this will turn now, but i don´t think so. I expect a lot of thiefs now so i will feel it.
Aura nerf to fire aura was not needed and i hate it …. Scepter got another snail buff.
Earth overload fixes are sad. Hoped they leave the great protection time.
Condi reaper or necro might slaughter ele now even more. Let someone else do the fight ….

Having lots of fun on pvp now, what I have to say about thieves is that now player skills makes a huge difference… killed some squishy thieves, but met one that killed me (and many others on my team) in 3-4 attacks. Also finishing them is hard, the high mobility and stealth allow good thieves to scape and heal just to strike back, so watch your cds when you go on the chase!

Oh, necros are not as scary, specially if you don’t foolishly load yourself with lots of boons before approaching them .

So to make things more constructive, what combos of Amulet and Runes do you use? And if you go for a more offensive spec, what trait lines do you chose?

Haven’t tried fresh ele yet cause don’t find it appealing (overload’s damage is easily prevented by skilled players and dagger’s AA kinda puts me in a close combat situation that can be very situational and kiteable …FA is great on PvE tho) so as for damage dealing I made a Lightning rod core ele that worked great and was fun to play (yesterday) … to soon to say something definitive.

There’s also a bunker build build that worked great yesterday but will do more testing before posting… will probably edit this comment when I do.
