Greetings!
I wrote a brief guide introducing my scepter/focus elementalist for those looking into a radical yet viable build for competitive PvP (works well in PvE too). Feel free to let me know what you think, whether friendly or critical, either in this thread or in the comment section on intothemists.com.
You got a little happy with the skill rotation tool, huh…
Nice guide, i’ve always liked the focus and played alot with it and several builds using the ice block in the bow aswell. Always played it very aggresivly with the bow to secure the kill when ice block hits and never tried playing it this way as a bunker/support. I’m going to try this out and see what i think but you really should include a video of you playing the build when u post something like this! just go in and play a rated game and record it so we can see the rotations in action!
peace
Thanks Stalefish, I’ve taken your suggestion and have put up a small video montage. Hopefully, this will showcase what I’m trying to accomplish with this build. Keep in mind I’ve been a staff, dagger/dagger, and scepter/dagger ele for a long time. Focus has taken some adjustment. I’m sure with a bit more practice this build will be a lot more effective than illustrated. I’ve done what I could in the limited time available ;-) Enjoy!
Very interesting build. Good to see you heading down a unique path. Frost bow is my favourite weapon. Bow 5 seems to be un stun breakable and 3 stacks a lot of chill at point blank. Bow 4 does 2k per hit with zerkers.
Focus is my favourite offhand, dagger offers much more but the skills bug out on me too much and vs projectile classes is a laugh. My favorite combo (when it doesn’t fail due to lag) is Gale → Dragon Tooth → Comet (to stop those pesky thieves from teleporting away). Usually I use Frost Bow 5 DT or sig of earth DT

This video confused me deeply, but then I realized you were causing such havoc on the enemy’s Home Point. Very cool build and video.
