Salutations folks! ive been working on this for quite some time. and id like to know what all experienced eles think about it from all aspects. please be Honest as i like to see what the consensus is .
The Idea behind this build is after the RTL and healing in Mist Nerf along with cuts in burning damage we need to be able to last a little longer to get the job done. So far i have been able to withstand almost any punishment given with this build aswell as doing pretty awesome damage!
and the endurance buffs from weapon and traits allow me to dodge 3 times, recharge fast and dodge 3 more. anyhow…thoughts please!
looks like you’ll be doing decent damage and it is definately only for the experienced since the defensive stats aren’t all that high but the trait-safeguards are a nice supplement I think to survive just that bit longer to pull it off. Not something I’d try though.
Interesting, do you feel my toughness is low? what is it that you would change? as far as being for only the experienced, i would agree. im switching elements almost constantly and there is alot of thinking involved.
this is the insight i was looking for , so please if you read the thread, leave an opinion.
for defensive stats in order of importance to elementalists I’d keep it in this order:
healing power
toughness
vitality
Offensive it’d be:
power
crit
cond
crit dmg.
For damage though the might boon which buffs both power and condition damage plus fury for crit chance are even more important. Same for regen and protection boons.
Your build would probably benefit from a boost in vigor.
I’m thinking on giving the evasiva arcana a try by building around the dodge mechanic on my 6th gear set. Still working on the tanky pvt gear though. Still missing 2 trinkets and 4 armor pieces but have been distracted into working towards an ascended backpack.
Could you maybe make a video of you playing so I can sorta see how you use this build and what your play style is?
Well in regards to vigor, i have taken care of that with my off hand weapon sigil, which gives me 50% End for switching atn. every 9 sec. plus my vigor from pheonix. So i always have atleast 3 dodges on deck.
My crit rate is a little low, because i was intending on using arcane power rather then mist after the nerf..but decided against it after i saw i could keep fury up during my primary bursts on atn. change. So buffed i have about 56% crit chance which is acceptable for my goals.
In regards to having more healing power, with my toughness and defensive traits its not really needed. with this build i have earth shield, 2x Arcane shields,Mist Form plus all the regen from mist/water ect. along with the toughness i have i normally make it till the end of engagements.
I used evasive arcana for months and just changed it for this build to get some more in Air. the damage from switching to Air plus the cool down gives me way more DPS then what the EA trait can offer. although im sad i lost the blinds.
as far as rotations that seem to work well, if there is a battle goin on i will take the marked target and throw a pheonix and a dragon tooth at the same time..ride the lightning in so that and the other 2 hit at the same time. if they are still alive i use Air 2,3 plus updraft…and its dead…for sure.. if there are other mobs around i switch to earth , use earth 4 and go into churn. if players come to attack i pop Arcane Shield and i tele port to the other side of them. when im done….i ride the lightning out into the sunset….for 1200 yards lol
