Necro Player seeks Ele Tips
You can decimate PvE content with lightning hammer utility skill. It applies an AoE blind at the end of every autoattack chain, which means perma blindness for many mobs which hit slower than your chain takes to finish. Great when you just want to steamroll a bunch of mobs.
Frost Bow #4 is excellent for quickly demolishing many stationary objects. Use that when you’re in a hurry and just need to wreck something.
Flaming Greatsword can be used very effectively if you need to solo a melee champion. #3 (the spin attack) will also apply a cripple effect and you can use that to kite the champ with your #1 attack which is ranged and has excellent damage. By the time the cripple effect wears off, you can use #3 again.
Dagger water #2 heals you even if you don’t hit anything with it.
S/D, you can stack might easily by casting Ring of Fire → Phoenix → switch to Earth → Earthquake. Top it off with Arcane Blast if you have it slotted and you got yourself a nice Might stack.

Thanks, thus far im looking at daphoenix youtube video guide for DD too, learning some great tips from that. Thanks for the might combo.
I play D/D primarily, so these will be tips for that:
1. Similar to what Gaudrath said, combining burning speed / ring of fire with Earthquake + Churning Earth stacks might using D/D.
2. You can teleport with lightning flash in the middle of a channeled spell. This is most commonly used with churning earth.
3. If you have Evasive Arcana, you can heal yourself with a dodge roll every 10s in water attunement.
4. Deselect “Automatically target nearest enemy” in the options. This allows you to deselect a target and use Ride the Lightning to escape.
5. Magnetic Grasp is a leap finisher (at least it used to be? Still procs for me a lot), which if used in one of your fire fields generates a Fire Aura.
6. Mist Form can be used to invuln-stomp enemies. Incredibly useful when outnumbered. You must start the stomp animation first, then use mist form and nothing can stop you. Make sure the class you’re doing this on can’t move though, (Ele, Thief, Mesmer).
7. Mist form can also be used to invuln-revive a teammate if you’re being focus fired. Same thing, start the animation first before using MF.
8. You can summon an elemental and use your heal skill while in MF, use this to recover and stall if you need to.
9. Shocking Aura makes Backstab thieves cry.

For staff, these are self-combos that I use often. Basically Eruption (Earth 2) or arcane wave are most useful skills for combos.
- E2 —> W2 = area heal (you can add arcane wave for 1 more area heal)
- W2 —> arcane wave = area heal
- E2 —> W5 or W5 --> E2 = area heal (you can add arcane wave for 1 more area heal)
- W5 —> arcane wave = area heal
- E2 —> F2 = 3 mights (you can add arcane wave for 3 more mights)
- E2 —> W4 = frost armor (you can add arcane wave for more duration)
- W4 —> E5 = chill
- W4 —> arcane wave = chill
I believe ele can get more benefit from sigils which activate by weapon swap than other professions since attunement is considered as weapon swap. Sigile of battle or energy is really nice to have.
