Guild Wars 2

Guys,

I am returning to Guild wars 2 after a bit of a break and have an ele currently sat at level 30ish. I was wondering if anybody could let me know what the best build is currently for fast effective DPS in PVE. I have tried various builds before but found that I can’t get the enemy down fast enough and eventually end up sucking dirt.
Any helpful hints and build suggestions would be great.

Dagger dagger is the most common way to level.
I know there are also many player will say staff! or scepter! And there are also right.

I’ve level my ele on scepter until lvl30, then I’ve encourter the problem that my gear is lower then lvl20 and I struggle on survival (higher dps, but not enough to survive until the mobs are down)

I switched to d/d, which give me high amount of mobility to evade enemy’s attack.

but build wise: if you struggle in survival, add some point in water. if you’re ok with survival and want more smash smash, add some in arcane and/or air and/or fire.
