Need help choosing wvw roaming d/d build

If you speculate it better, there’s more of a difference then you would think. It’s choosing between having more Vitality or 3% more crit dmg, or 5% crit dmg for less power and vitality. Yes i am a perfectionist when it comes to this kind of stuff. Also your last question has already been answered, since the thread is already opened?

@Topic: The one perfect gear setup doesn’t exist. If the gear is about balanced (which should be the case for d/d builds), then it depends on your personal preference if you want to have more sustain or damage. There are (in theory!) optimal tradeoffs between crit damage and precision or toughness and vitality but you’re talking about a quantum tradeoff between sustain and damage. There is no general answer to this as you have to find out what fits your playstyle.
The reason my first answer was a bit sarcastic is that your headline is totally misleading. If you claim that there are different “builds” you posted and only one piece of armor (builds include sigils, runes, weapons, traits, utilities, bufffood etc. etc.) is different, you will cause a lot of confusion for people who click on those links trying to help you out.

Next time refrain yourself from posting on help threads if your going to criticize their reason for posting a thread. It comes off as disrespectful, i came here for help and to get my questions answered. Not to be mocked and belittled.
I understand you came here for help, but these builds are 99% the same and it makes no difference which one you use. You at least could have picked utilities or something. You came in here and asking for opinions on a build with a stat variation of maybe 1-2% between them. This was just a waste of time, so that’s why you got a sarcastic answer.

You should maybe consider what he has said instead of dismissing it based on it being criticism, which is pretty much the reason why people post threads such as these. If you can’t take criticism, then you shouldn’t be posting.
And he is right, there is negligible difference between the said builds. No one build is necessarily better than the other from an objective standpoint which is what we are all trying to tell you. It’s simple, if you feel like you need more toughness and prefer it, then choose it.
Nobody can give you a detailed and logical reason to which one is better, or give reasoning that wouldn’t be true for the other builds. Especially since what you have presented. It’s your choice

If you really want a serious answer, then I’d choose #1 because it has more toughness than the others. But it’s by no means the best choice because, well, the builds are similar enough that it’s personal preference (like the others above mentioned).

He’s never been rude, never insulted you, he simply commented on your thread.
We cannot help you because the builds are so similar that it comes down to a matter of preference.
He could have said: I prefer #1 because of survivability
but you could as well refuse it simply because dishing out more damages and sacrificing on vit/toughness seems to be a better idea.
Don’t misunderstand, we are glad to help you, this is one of the best community I’ve been part of since I started playing game, but you asked us to chose for you, we answered in all due respect that we couldn’t and you reply back that we are rude and criticizing you. The only one who’s being rude, in fact, would be you. For ignoring sound advice and telling people off when they replied you with honest answers. If you ask for help, be prepared to not receive what you WANT to hear. Listen to people and their comeback, they have no interest in being rude to you this is your game and your gameplay, not ours.
And honestly? You want true criticism and unhelpful answer? Here have this:
There’s so much thread on that forum already that having one where we’re asked to chose for someone else where we have no idea what said person wants or prefers is useless and taking space for other threads where actual help and comeback is welcomed, you know what you want, we don’t. The builds are inerently the same with less than 5% difference, chose what YOU prefer because we don’t know what YOU want. We are not paid or receiving anything to help you, we are doing this freely and are not obliged to help you in any way. Don’t get all kittened off at us…
Oh and my answer would be #3… but it’s personnal.
