Hello! I’ve recently been trying out many different classes in pvp to see basically which i could enjoy the most without having to be thinking ahead or strategically playing. I havent really played the elementalist because of all the switching between attunements but ive been interested in it since i got the game. Does it get real easy once u play longer? And how do all you elementalists play (controls- wasd and holding right mouse, just wasd, free camera, etc.)? And please explain that aspect. Also, what types of builds do u reccomend for hotjoin pvp, team pvp and wvw? I’d appreciate it if you all could help me out on this. Thanks!

We are in a terrible place in spvp. Once new game mods open up ele might have more of a roll. The skill cap is very high and the rewards are low but for me I have the most fun playing ele.

You should try S/D or D/D build for sPvP and Staff for WvW. Changing elements are really fun once you get used to.

Whichever class i play after ele, i really feel naked. Ele got more healing and condi clears out of utilites. And once you equipped the defensive skill on utilites, it is really versatile.

All we need a good elite skill that worth to take.

Continued nerfs have pushed the Ele toward extinction. It is now considered a dedicated support class (in a game without dedicated support classes), so it is expected for the Ele to play a major part in pushing the GW2 combat mechanic ideas (combo finishers, a.k.a. “static fighting” or “huddling”). You will be expected to be a buff bot because even great players cannot maintain 100% performance; thus, it’s the only thing people know any Ele can accomplish (and huddling). Lastly, just because other classes say they love you, remember that the love ends when you miss a huddle. Stack it tight.
