Guild Wars 2

Hello,
I just reached the lvl80 with my elementalist, and i wanted to go with a tempest build.
I’m pretty new to the game, and i don’t really know what weapon to choose between the staff, the dagger/warhorn or the dagger/focus.
I’m mostly a PvE player, but i do some PvP too, so i’d like an “hybrid” build to do both.
I found this build for staff, but it’s a 3 years old build and i don’t know if it’s still good.
And i’m also not sure about what stats i should take. Someone told me to go full berserk ( Power > Precision > Ferocity ) but i’m wondering if it’s good with a tempest.
Can anyone help me with this ?

I would suggest looking through this particular page to get a feel for what’s popular & proven to work. You don’t have to run EXACTLY what’s there, but you’ll get a good idea of the foundation for some great builds. However, some of those, even though they’re considered “Meta” (as in “best”), have lower grades / votes than others, but in the end it’s all in what you can make effective – for example, I run the Auramancer Raid Healer, which is currently scored at 63 of 100…but I can give a kitten because I’ve carried entire groups.

Staff is always useful as is D/Wh. I personally love D/D for the mobility but I actually carry all of my weapons I can use in my bags just for the rare times I want something else.
