Need some advice on a Burning D/F build
This is the build I’ve been running in PvE for a while. I find that a big part of D/F’s survivability comes from Signet of Restoration just because of how many skills you use in D/F rotations. I couldn’t imagine running ele without it, because we’re so squishy being able to regain health throughout a fight is necessary. Another thing I’d suggest is adding water line for survivability, I personally couldn’t imagine playing without it. It has some nice traits, and with Aquamancer’s Training you get the 10% over 90% and 33% reduced cooldowns on 2 blast finishers.
Evasive Arcana may be a better option than Elemental Surge. I haven’t run any math on it, but with Elemental Surge you can get 1 stack every 20 seconds and 5 stacks every 36 seconds and with Evasive Arcana you get 2 stacks (with longer duration) every 7 seconds or whenever you swap fire. It has the benefit of being effected by Pyromancer’s Training, which you should totally be using, it’s great. You also get dodge rolls in water for survivability, and another blast finisher in earth. Plus, it frees up heal for Signet of Restoration and another utility slot.
Flamewall will probably do more damage in PvE than Ring of Fire just because RoF is dependent on enemy movement in and out of the ring. Flamewall pulses for things standing inside of it, so for stationary PvE targets it will deal more damage.
That’s about all I have, this build definitely wouldn’t do as much raw condition damage as possible but thats a tradeoff I’m willing to make. Been having a ton of fun with this build.

Honestly as far as stats go cele is awful. Its better to mix and match and avoid that healing stat as much as possible. Personally I would go for full sinister since D/F is really easy to survive on. D/D would be better for dmg in a sinister build but since you have trouble staying alive I wouldn’t go that route. Also for me I don’t use the signet heal very often since arcane brilliance is a much better option. As for traits, going fire/air/earth is best. For traits in fire you want persisting flames, its just too good to pass up fury in a class that has no good access to it otherwise. Here’s the trait set up I would use http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQJAodnMIClNg9NAOOA0RgBBALCAFgDwED2BFB5SGCSBA-e
In pve arcane is pretty useless and its usually better to go for raw damage, kill it before it kills you. Now as for you survivablity issues that will take time and practice but just remember to keep swirling winds and obi flesh at the ready for those panic moments.
This is what I have been running in PvE
