Guild Wars 2

So i just got level 40, been upping my gear around every 5 levels, sitting at about 40g right now. Ive been using a staff.

Mainly ive just been grouping tons of mobs with lightning then 5 them and start casting fire aoe. I can kill 5-6 mobs at a time with no problem, running all the passive skills to boost crit / toughness / speed. I’ve invested nearly all my gear into power/precision, but i have a very healthy amount of toughness and vit on my trinkets.

so my main question is, as i hit 40 and went to the auction house all i see is gear that gears towards precision and condition damage.. is this how to play elementalist? i cant find any power/prec gear anywhere, its just random stuff with condition damage, and i consider condition damage my worst stat when i kill 5 mobs my level in 4-5 seconds with crit and power.

…help? lol.

Uhm..you’re 3 days into the game and made 40 gold already? Elaborate.

And I assume you’re using staff right? Well anyways gear isn’t all that important. You’ll soon get gear with 3 stats and then you could get some that’ll give you damage and defensive stats. And not finding power/precision gear…you must be looking at the wrong place. Might wanna try the filter and use “Strong” while looking for gear(that’s usually the power/precision gear).

i made 40g by selling all dyes / crafting kitten. its simple.

Gears don’t really matter that much at low level. But there is an option for Power/precision for sure. When I level up the only thing i need is blood lust sigil. The rest is whatever you want. Vitality helps a lot earlier on. Power also scales very well at low lv. Don’t waste a lot of money on low lv gear because you lv up relatively fast. By lv 60, you can spend like 2-3 golds and a few thousands karma (which you already have if you don’t spend them all) to craft to 80.

Vanillea is right. Honestly If I were you would just craft the rest. Or hit 50 craft to 70 head to Orr and farm the rest. The gear you have now is meaningless don’t worry about the stats all that much because you’ll be growing out of it fast. Its between 55 and 60 endgame stats (for the most part) as far as variation goes are fully present.

Just a note. The only way I see you sitting on 40g in 3 days at your level is

A). your got a very rare dye and sold it ala Abyss.

B). you bought gems and sold them.
