Nerf on vapor form
I heard it no longer resets your health back to 50%? If this is true then its a much needed change.

This hurts so bad in PvE but it was a bug and needed to be changed. You could never actually die while this was bugged unless you were fighting 2+ veteran mobs. A normal on level mob shouldn’t outlive you if you used mist form to reset your health at the last minute.
In PvP it was such an OP exploit. You wait until the very last second and then hit #2 to not only heal 50% health but also move away from your enemy.

Then wouldn’t it be better to remove every class but 1? Not every class needs to be perfectly equal in every possible way. A slightly more durable downed state can be balanced by dealing less damage. I haven’t really played something else then an elementalist so I don’t know were other professions stand on terms of downed state but it like the elementalist’s downed state got reverted to the state it was in in the first months after release.

I saw it as a trade-off. You “re-entered” downed state, resetting health to the next tier but also gaining an extra downed penalty point in the process.
As a strictly PvE player, this change makes Vapor Form nigh useless. Before it at least gave you a bit of extra health which was marginally useful, but now you’re doing nothing but delaying the inevitable for a couple seconds. No damage done, no aggro lost, and now no health gained either. Repositioning yourself isn’t much good on its own in PvE unless you’re already at the edge of an enemies’ aggro radius or can mist off a cliff or something. Its really not “in line” with thief or mesmer, because those do lose aggro at least (especially Mesmer).
If I get downed on my Elementalist in PvE, its pretty much a forgone conclusion that I’m going to die unless I’ve got a near-dead enemy and some burn / bleed pre-stacked on them. Damage done with #1 is a pittance, #2 now does nothing at all, and #3 takes too long to come off cooldown. Even with Vapor Form healing I’d still rarely rally, but now even moreso its pretty sure I’m dead already when I go down.
Can’t decide if Engineer or Elementalist is worse at downed state. Probably Engie still, but this change certainly doesn’t do Elem any favors.
Much needed in PvP
Never had a problem in PvE with ele, i always manage to kill a mob before I fully died anyways.
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
Ele down state is still awesome in PvE, either to get out of AoE’s ppl can’t rez you in or to move towards your allies.

Now it’s just a weaker version of thief/mesmer downed states. At least with those the enemy can’t see and follow you immediately. Now it needs another 2s duration at least to be on par with thief/mesmer.

Its close to worthless now-if you vapor form at ~20%hp you will def die since it puts your #4 skill on a cooldown.
It was overpowered before now its underpowered.
I liked it, no double downed penalty anymore at least. However i would like to see a more useful downed skilled like other classes have ontop of the life saver. For example, warriors life saver is the knockdown they get instantly, but also they have the vengeance skill to allow them for even a better effect if you delay to finish the job. Eles are meh only vampor form.
