I just started a new human elementalist and I want to be fire but what sort of weapons and traits are good for that?

First thing to know is that elementalists are not about a single element but need to focus to every element, especially later, you’ll see for urself too. (that’s why we are called ELEMENTALISTS).

Second, right now the most effective weapon combo is Dagger/Dagger, but for pve staff and scepter is also fine if u like them, try them for urself and decide

third, traits its up to you but at least 20 or 30 in arcane for lower attunment swap is a must for this class.

If you like fire put points in fire and air.

Hey Exelion. First off just as Vissarion said, elementalist are really about utilizing all the elements to their advantage. I encourage you to search YouTube for some elementalist game-play and see how each element is used.

Fire is THE main damage source for an elementalist. Water is more of a healing type of element. Air is for your speed and can also dish out a fair amount of damage. Earth is more defensive but also has good damage to it.

Knowing when to switch is vital and is also the reason why most consider elementalist “hard” to play. Don’t switch elements if it is not necessary, and don’t use skills if not necessary. ( Like using water to heal when you have full hp). An expansive amount of time has to be put in to learn an elementalist from the start.
