New Elementalist, need Pve Build
Look at my guide for PvE builds (all dungeons, open world stuff, fracs below 30). The link’s in my sig.
The PDF version is here
New ele or new player? Big difference, the builds Anierna gave are complete glass (some more so than others though), and generally lacking in recovery, so only someone with lots of experience in the game should try using them.

Yeah i’m just new to elementalist.
I wouldn’t recommend Anierna’s build either because it’s to glassy and it draws way to much aggro which results in instant downs. Same goes for Zelyhn’s and DEKeyzToChaos builds as they focus way to much on pure DPS and make you an aggro magnet.
Im looking to find a build that is Scepter/Dagger any ideas?
Check out Neko’s guide for some options (stickied at the top of the ele forum), or mine as well (link in sig). Scepter-based builds don’t have the DPS to be dangerous in PvE by themselves, so it’s wise to pair them with a lightning hammer so you can keep up your damage between bursts. My favorite build for scepter-hammer is 30(II-V-XI)/10(VI)/10(VI)/20(IV-VI)/0 with direct DPS gear, but it’s meant for groups when someone else will be providing vuln.
I have used all three guides of DEKeyz, Anierna and Zelyhn. They all require a bit of practice and has higher learning curve than others but they are very rewarding. I’m usually the hardest hitting in any casual groups, does a fair amount of carrying people, I’m able to join any speedclear PUG, can duo Arah p2 comfortably and almost getting there with melee-ing Lupi. I wouldn’t suggest any new comers to shy away from these builds. They may be a bit of glass, but they train you become a better ele. If this much of my personal experience interests you then I suggest:
- Start with Zelyhn’s guide. He explains thoroughly many concepts and very detailed in theory.
- Then go try DEKeyz’s guide. She’s one of the best ele in dungeon PvE, who offers experience ranging from maximizing your DPS to surviving through harsh conditions. DEKeyz also has a selection of youtube videos showcasing her achievement too.
- When you’re comfortable with DEKeyz’s build, now it’s time to try Anierna’s guide. The guy is a perfectionist and absolutely knows what he is talking about. His builds may be difficult to master at first, but its efficiency just shines in an organized speed clear group.
If you want to try out the build, the best training ground I can put out of my head is Cursed Shore. When I feel it too easy, I’d look for a Dungeon Mentor to help me practice in dungeons
