So I’ve been messing around alot and found a trait set-up that allowed me to change to weapons or different utility skills without having to completely rework all the traits.

0-fire
20-air for zephyrs boon when using D/D cantrip build. and for glyphs if I want to use those instead.
0-earth
30-water for support and healing whenever you use cantrips or auras for aurasharing. Also great condition removal. Works for any build.
20-arcana because swapping elements is at the core of any good elementalist build.

So nowadays I run with a balanced build:

Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done by killing everything with AoE’s.

How do you use this build you may ask…

first you cast fire 2 (low CD), then 5, then use fiery greatsword and cast no. 5 and 3 if you’re in a tight spot followed by 2 for some more fire dmg and its a fast cast. Then drop fiery greatsword cast 2 of staff again or 4 if you’re still in tight spot cast glyph of storms while in earth atunement for a 10 sec continuous aoe blind. Then get y’r ice bow out and use no. 4… no.5, 3 and 2 when combatting a boss. Once they’re all on CD drop the icebow and cast all available AoE’s while making your way to the fiery greatsword you planted not too long ago and cast no. 5 again. By then you’ll be able to cast another meteorshower and pick up the ice bow again and use its aoe ability.

Result is continuous mostly overlapping aoe’s that kill everything very very fast.

Be warned!!!
This is not a build that works always everywhere you go, not a build you can abuse its just another half decent build I came up with and you don’t need to have the armor that is shown in the link anything goes just make sure you can survive long enough to cast all those aoe’s.

It do look a fun build to me. I’ll give it a try.
But I do not see the advantage of the water trait.

Thx!

Edit:
Just ran this build in 2x Molten Front, 1x COF p1 and FoTm lvl 20
It’s ok, but I do miss my cantrip to escape. And when I change one of the glyph to cantrip, then it’s a bit of waste to put point in Glyphs.

This is pure my own opinion, and preferable playstyle. Nothing wrong with this build

Although what I’ve swicthed is the 30 point in water, I’ve put it 5 more in arcane, for the condition on crit, and 10 in fire for more burning dmg. Which makes it: 10/20/0/15/25

the reason for the 30 in water is for when you feel the need to swap to a different weapon or utility skill set without having to completely redo your traits.

Also I’ve been trying the build out in pvp and after reworking the traits but using the same concept of spamming AoE’s this ended up being the result:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fEAQFAWhImSb6R0wjFAkCmEUQwAjCZIKURRxM7A-jACBUBAJPhN7JIZRRrkMs1uRT9KxKYBCA-e

it might not seem like much but with pvp being the taking and defending of points I find that this build is very very powerful.
went 3 straight rounds without dying and dishing out awesome damage and support.

You might thing that the red circles make it easy to dodge but when there are 3-4 big red circles appearing all around you from a range of 1200 most people just panick and use up all their dodges until they die.

Note
note that this is probably not the most optimal build but it is quite balanced edit it as you please to fit your playstyle I just gave you a basis to work off of.

PS Turkashi, thanks for trying out my build
