How you gear an ele depends on what game mode you play (WvW or PvE), what type of PvE and WvW specifically. PvE: open world (anything goes), dungeons or fractures, WvW: solo or hide behind a zerg and pew pew.
what is your playstile. What weapons do you prefer to use (it doesn’t really matter since you should have most of them, but still).
For me as suggested by my guild and my play style for me, I am still loving my Zerk armor, I am a newly level 80 and I am enjoying it to its fullest.
While I tend to switch from Staff to D/D depends on what I am into at the moment I am playing, so with that said, I use both weapons. I have a staff, and I have a D/D.
Just depends what kind of mood I am in and what I feel like doing.
D/D and my gear suits me for all my play styles really, PvE. WvW and SPvP.
