Hiya, I’m looking to startup my ele soon and occurred to me, what if we had the ability to weapon swap out of combat only (or lock it when an arena pvp match starts)?

(I know weapon swap has been brought up in the past but they were all about 9s swap cd in combat.)

That would be a huge QoL change from having to open up inventory and double click weapons to swap for lets say staff air 4 and then back to x/x… can get annoying when 2 items get separated as well.

Would make the ele alot more fun as well as would promote different weapons in open world. Now I won’t be forced to use my staff because I don’t of even thinking of using d/d for this encounter because i’m already so used to using staff as a primary, or even d/d to s/f.

This wont affect PVP cause the swap will be locked on start and we can already swap weapons out of combat for WvW.

I actually think it should be the other way around. Add a delay on the weapon swap to prevent that sort of gameplay.
