Honestly that should be the case for every class’s 2 since all of them are similarly affected.

I agree with this as well, as I see a lot of number 2 skills thrown out the moment someone goes down (my favorite is the ‘thought I was going to use 100 blades, but got Throw Hammer’ one). It could be something we’ll do in the future.
Admittedly this happens to me a lot as well. Especially since I play with a slight latency issue, so when I go down I almost always have number 2 on “pre-cast” as I’m waiting for it to go off. I go down and suddenly I’m a ball of mist. It’s simply embarrassing! lol
I end up killing myself half the time due to downed penalty.. suddenly get downed.. and suddenly a ball of mist.. and all i can do is wait the 2 seconds to die

except that u will find yourself with a KDed opponent and not with an additional downed penalty and a 25% less downed health (due to the above mentioned downed penalty increase)… that is what an unwanted vapor form means for an ele… and this when u’r at zero penalty… if already got downed a few times (in WvW u can go down and up a few time in a short amount of time during hard fight…) u can even transit from downed to death due to that queued vapor form…
so… if u put this on the same level of wasting a KD… well… I think it should use a bit more of priority in your list of “thing to adjust”

Wouldn’t it be much easier on your team to simply not allow input during the downing animation? .5 CD isn’t a bad idea, but it seems simpler to just stop input from the user for a brief time then adding the cooldown to each skill.
It’s super-duper frustrating when you try to cast the spell on your “2” button right as you get downed, and so waste your only escape-spell AND reduce your maximum health
Could you change the title to “Vapor Form”?
First things first: Is it intended to make vapor form kill you very often because it increases the downed penalty? A skill that kills you doesn’t sound right to me….
Yea, that’s a great idea! I support it, I used mist form a couple of times too while trying to heal with my 2 water D/D skill xD
I think the downed penalty on varpor form is balanced – you get a second chance and pay with a second “stack” of death penalty.
Until that, I’ll play GW2.

I’d like to see the bug in which the ele downed state starts with EVERY ABILITY ON COOLDOWN fixed.
you go down and may as well just go get a pop and check your silver because you’re going to get stomped before you can even START trying to rally.
