Pack rune or hoelbrak or Strength
no one have any opinion on this? Personally I am leaning towards pack rune, for its 50% up time on fury, extra 6 to 7% crit and perma swiftness. What do you guys think?
if you rain air/water/earth – hoelbrak as you have the speed but can get some extra condi reduction/removal and extra might duration
if you run air/water/arcane – strenght as you have the speed and the cleanse but can use the extra dmg and might duration
if you run fire/water/earth, fire/water/arcane, fire/water/earth – travelers for the condi duration, boon duration and speed.
Depends on what your traits are. Air+Arcana get’s pretty good fury uptime if you take fresh air and fury on aura’s, but not as good as Fire’s fury uptime. I’ve finished fights and had like 20-30 secs left of fury.
None of your choices are clear cut winners just some are more “optimal than others”. I personally have no plans to switch from Hoelbrak so that means every build has to have Air trait line, which is ok because I like it as much as fire.
You can’t really go wrong with any of those choices you are either gonna be slower, less fury uptime, less condition management, or more damage. It depends on how you prioritize each one.

For traditional burn builds use the meta build. Use a rune that increases might duration and focus on traits that give more might. Pack runes are good for cele builds but not optimal.

Pack runes are more suitable for staff and scepter builds like others said. Depends on the build, you can use strength or hoelbrak. For me it is just a taste for defense vs agressiveness.
Thanks guys, I’ll give hoelbrak a shot.
Another question: currently I have Cele armor and accessory, with sinister daggers. I would like to make an ascended staff for more of a team fight, and zerg, what stats should I choose?
this is my stat setup

I run zerker weapons with cele build but again it is your taste. But zerker is more profitable. You can swap to full zerker if you need to defend behind doors or do insane dmg while being squishy though. I like switching between zerker and cele staff.
I am leaning towards zerker staff as well. I picture myself using staff for more of a back line dps, or support. Just wondering how good is the conditional pressure with Staff skills, or will stats like healing power benefit much with staff’s support options.
Personally I like sinister with dagger, since the conditional pressure with dagger is high. The extra crit damage doesn’t seems to benefit much.
condi for staff isnlt good in zerg fights. Eles and guards will passively cleanse all condis u put out. Healing power also isnt great since heals come from blasting water fields, which isn;t affected by your healing power.

If you are going for zerg fights, you can use full zerker (but you must be careful) or you can use something like celestial/soldier type of thing with water+arcane to heal yourself and people around you. I personally use celestial staff to roam and spontaneous zerg fights. For planned ones I advice full zerker staff. But condi on staff can be a little weak. If you demand condition for staff, you can use condi on crit sigils etc with rabid or something like that I guess.
Or if you want to try, you can go dd, but I never liked dd that much anyway. For me, the archetype must use staff.
