Hey, am i the only one who after a while of playing it gets annoyed with all this crap talk “i summon the power of the whatever”, “i summon the power of the storms”, " my power is like a tydal wave" and so on so forth…

For me and this is just my opinion, it would be freaking excelent to be able to personally reduce your own char crap talk to either saying “Water,Air,Fire,Eearth” or simply not say anything at all, its unnecessary crap talk that adds nothing of value to the gameplay except getting on my nerves :P

Anyone here feeling the same about this possibility? or different?

I personally love the attunement-swap sayings. I think I actually wish they happened more often.

But I suppose an option to cut it down or disable it would be OK. As long as its an option, and not just a blanket elimination / reduction the devs implemented.

Yeah an option is all i ask lol, i rather hear chars saying usefull stuff like “help me” when they are downed rather than having my char spam the voice acting with “i do this”, and nooooow im gonna hit you with those! take that! hah i can move mountains (throws rocks) and so on :P

“I can outrun a centaur!”
I honestly quit my human female ele because of this.

Might vary for different races, but my Ele is an Asura and I just LOVE the stuff he shouts when he switches attunements.

“I have ignition!”
“Severe weather warning!”
“Cleansing will now begin!” <- Favourite
“Rocks and stones will break your bones!”

I honestly like them, and I even shout some in real life when I want to create real awkward situations…..

“Feel the fires of Balthazar!”

I love that line every time I hear it.

I really like it actually.

“Here comes the flames!”

I love when my human just says “Air” “Fire” “Water” “Earth” the most though.

Omg I so much agree with you sir ! When you keep swapping attunements, it’s getting sooooooo boring to hear those annoying sentences. I mean, at the beginning, it’s cool. After hours, it’s freaking boring.

I re-made my Ele int an Asuran and the lines are great, they have so much personality, though my fav line is “I personify genius.” although you only hear it once in the personal story.

Some of them are great. Others such as “I can out run a centaur!” get old when it’s every 30 seconds. However, I believe there was a post saying they were looking into decreasing the frequency of some of these.

Having more options is just… always so good. : D

These lines are at least made with more love than most of the lategame scripts, so that’s a plus. I wish they would make more of these and just add them in the game with the release of casual patches. I bet most of us will instantly start noticing new phrases and that would just be an awesome feeling, wouldn’t it?

Yeah, but i really also prefer to keep my char voice clean, i just did another CoE run with a silvary ele and everyone was so silent except him saying all the time " I am fire" “i am water” I command earth" or whatever the heck he was saying he was spamming it so freaking much, when i pointed that out the other guy near it agreed lol.

When im focused on alpha sometimes i forget ppl can die and if they are well behind me and i dont look at the team information hp bar i dont even notice he is downed, then suddenly i hear “help me character voice acting” i turned back, found him few meeters away and then ressed him, that actually made me feel good, thats why i wish the game had an [Option] to block all that bloatware crap talk and make them somehow more relevant to the gameplay, i dont know if you guys are understanding what im trying to say.

I want more variety, and perhaps the option to remove the following:

“Sticks and stones will break your bones!”

When my female Ele shouts… “Feeling Hot!”… when swapping to fire, I think she’s suffering menopause, with her hot flashes. :P

A couple things:

1. I like my HF Ele, but I watched a video with an Asura Ele and the chatter drove me crazy. They sound like an annoying, precocious pre-teen.

2. I think you should have an option to hear at least the people around you (or in your party) when they declare things. I play with my dad a lot and he’s always laughing at what his character says – it’s a shame we can’t have an option to hear others.

I hear other people all the time. My guild always jabs at me when my Asura says something stupid.

As a charr I get.

“Feel the flame!”
“Water!”
“The wind is here!”
“Earth!”

Actually isn’t too annoying for me, at least its not the “I could outrun a centaur.” nonsense.
