As someone who started as an elementalist, and switched to guardian when i hit 60. (80 guardian atm)

when watching how fast my brother (ranger) drops mobs
when watching my brother kill 2 invaders in WvW while downed
when using an elite skill (tornado), i become even more of an easy target
when the only useful skill i have while downed is used to run away
when reading on the forum, others say glass cannon is the only viable build
when reading on the forum, others say staff ele is generally useless and is the reason for discrimination during dungeons
when reading on the forum, others say ele is not broken because they can kill 10 unintelligent AI mobs that stand on AoE
when reading on the forum, others say ele is not broken and want you to use the same cookie cutter build they use

In german there is the term “Eierlegende Wollmilchsau”, which roughly translates to “Egg laying wool-milk-pig” and means something that can do everything (basically: jack of all trades)
