Looking at potential builds, I can’t help but think Powerful Aura has some potential. Has anyone experimented with it?

Here’s my build that I was theory crafting. Was torn between Arcane Mastery, Zephyr’s Boon, and Spell Slinger. Was unsure of Runes yet too.

Then again, if spreading Auras isn’t all that great, I can just scrap the whole thing anyway.

Powerful aura is great for team play (groups of 3-5). It biggest potential comes from the boons associated with the auras and the only elementalist share. The auras themselves are not that powerful enough without the boons. I altered you build slightly to a more standard Powerful Aura build as for sigils they are up to you. Good choices are Renewel, Energy, Battle, Water, and Force. Powerful Auras really shines when you build with a guardian for boon sharing because then you can pretty much keep up protection for you group 100% of the time.

Is Fury and Swiftness really that beneficial? I can see sacrificing some the Earth grandmaster trait for Elemental Attunement, but Rock Solid for Zephyr’s Boon?

Perma swiftness and Fury is much more beneficial than 2 and 3/4 seconds of stability every 10 seconds. While Rock Solid is a party wide boon its mostly used for selfish reason’s (to get off Ether Renewal or a stomp). With an Aura share build, you want what is best for the party rather than yourself. And back to my first post If you build with a guardian they can give much longer and more reliable stability than an Elementalist.

During a fight how much faster is a player with swiftness compared to one that has no swiftness …or compared to a player that has the 25% run speed trait.

serious question….because to me, all movement seems slow during combat.

There are very few classes/trait sets that can give fury to teammates. Fury is one of those boons which is usually personal which is what makes powerful aura/zephy’s boon such an interesting combo.

If your going to do auras might as well do it all the way. far more protection uptime on sigil spam.
