Preparing for my first dungeon

o, I am level 35, I bought myself a nice new set of gear for level 35. It is all vitality/power. Since I am loving on the staff and earth lately, I upgraded it all with +condition/vitality. My question is what should I be concerned with doing a dungeon for the first time? I have read that survival is key in them. Would I be better off going bit/toughness for gear currently?
