Engineer plus Hammer? Check. Again, there’s no specific timeline for this, but a new progression system is coming.”

What I’m curious about is why people are so keen on greatsword wielding eles…I mean, why greatsword? Is it just because the mesmer has one?

Greatswords are big and they tend to get most of these overly flashy skins that so many people like for some reason.

Yeah, they need to animate it so that, regardless of what attack I use, both weapons are used. Most pistol skills fire one of them exclusively, but looks a little silly.

I certainly hope one of those weaponsets gives some damaging water spells instead of healing.

Hopefully some decent conditions on one of them as well.

What will happen to conjure weapons when this comes?
Also curious to see what melee professions will do with a staff and scepter.

When I started playing ele, it was dagger/dagger that sold me. I loved the concept of an anime-esque, close range, high damage caster. It sounded hybrid to me.

Greatsword caters to that side of me. A caster with a giant sword? Yes, please.

I really don’t think this will happen though. Or if it does, it’ll be a PvE-specific weapon set which I won’t be able to use in sPvP. They have too many balance issues to work out with the existing sets.

Greatsword is the last thing I want on my Ele. Sure I’ll take it but last. I don’t like greatsword on Mesmer and prefer staff on my mesmer even in a power build.

Hammer is where it’s at a Ele with 4 elements using a hammer would be awesome. Dat Banish.

Yeah, it isn’t completely useless (I use it at times). Still, it is the weakest of the weapons for Ele.

Because it is a channeling weapon? Just like the target is a short range weapons (skill wise, you don’t actually hit your opponent directly with the edges of the weaponss).
