[PvE] AoE Farming Build.
Same can be done in staff. Ele are definitely good at AOE farming.
It’s a great idea, fairly well known by now, but there’s an issue with this whole thing. It doesn’t synergize well with MF gear which is Power/Precision. MF gear is good for getting better drops when you’re… yep, farming.
With Dagger/Dagger, it’s basically the same thing.
I just pull everything, ring of fire, earthquake, churning earth – switch to water mid cast (+20% damage from piercing shards), signet of air and arcane wave (10 stacks of might, +6% vulnerability). Stuff with low health is already dead. Stuff with a little more I just use cone of cold / frozen burst. Stuff with even more, I repeat the sequence.
The most risky group I’ve done was during a defense event. I used blazing speed into a pack. Since the game limits the amount of mobs shown, the pack was actually 2 packs of around 12 each. I had arcane shield at the time, which was on during churning and popped instantly. Everything died though.
The most fun pull I’ve done is… soloing the temple of grenth, despite chat telling me “it’s too hard, you need at least 10 people” :/

Yep this is the big problem. Although honestly it still does so much damage it doesn’t really matter even when you’re geared power/precision instead of +condition.
Also scepter in particular has enough straight damage that it works fine with power/precision. Staff is a little more iffy because a larger % of the damage is condition damage.
I mean, it’s true that you could do a lot more damage, particularly in staff, if there was +condition +MF gear. But if the mobs are dead anyhow does it really matter that you could have killed them 1.5x over?
You don’t need to actually wear normal MF gear, just grab a 6 Superior Runes of the Pirate. That’s 50% MF + chance to gain might and a bird that can solo any regular mob in Orr (or 5 + 1 Traveler if you just want lots of MF).

I use the D/D version of this every now and again when I am in the mood for farming, or when I get one of those XP tokens and I see a field of creatures that people haven’t killed in awhile. Leveling speed goes through the roof.
D/D is kinda the weakest for this honestly. You have better overall damage but your ability to put out one decisive burst combo is way less than scepter/d, primarily because fire 2 and 3 in scepter is SO powerful for burst.
