PvE build (fresh air / ferocity + fury buffs)
Thanks for sharing this. Just a side note, the title of this thread reads PVE while the build was saved as PVP.
I fixed it!
Thanks for noticing (: ! Any comment on the build itself? I found that getting more ferocity than any other build compliments quite well the high amount of crit chance you get (100% being the perfect amount).
I fixed the % of crit damage that is higher than I thought when writing this build.
Air/Arcane/Tempest turned out to be surprisingly good. I took a few liberties with your build (mainly taking Ferocious Winds instead of Zephyr’s Boon, and using Bountiful Power instead of Elemental Surge in raids). I love the flexibility of the build – I can swap to Earth after every overload air to give out protection like candy (due to a combination of Elemental Attunement and Sand Squall), or swap to Fire and burning speed once every 3 overloads for more damage. As Ring of Earth is on a 6 second cooldown, it’s up every swap (just like Burning Speed used to be), so you don’t have an awkward pause in your rotation.
Example rotation:
Overload Air > Swap to Earth > Sand Squall > Swap to Air > Do stuff
Overload Air > Swap to Fire > Burning Speed > Swap to Air > Do stuff
Overload Air > Swap to Earth > Ring of Earth > Swap to Air > Do stuff
Repeat. (Second overload can be a swap to Earth instead if you want to give out more protection)
I’ve tried the build out in VG and in fractals, and am really impressed by the survivability it adds. It’s definitely a DPS loss from the original FA build, but since thieves outclass us for damage on small targets anyway, the utility this build has could allow us to fill a different niche in a raid.
Similar build, but i think with more arcane spells.
with superior rune of rage, are cheap, and ALWAYS have +5% damage, because always have rage boon…

Is good for fractals and open pve (40% protection, fury and switness for party) and elementals attunement helps a lot.
For raids need more heal, but change 2 rings and 2 earrings is enogh, with soldier or valkyrie…..
Tested, underperformes via DPS compared to meta FA build.
The idea of more tanky FA build is nice, though.

Are you referring to OP’s build or the one in the thread with wanderer’s?

Swapping to bountiful power causes even greater dps loss since your loosing out on the +150 ferocity which will equate to higher crit dmg than a 2% per boon flat increase.
