I am not nitpicking.
One per second for requiring to be struck above 75% hp is just quite bad.
So when I saw the plural, I thought hey maybe it does more than one per second.
The tooltip is just not very clear and can be misleading.

First it was, immune to condi above 90%.
Than they nerfed it to cleanse a condi every second, as long as you are above 75%.
Than they nerfed it to this latest version, where you need to be struck, but as said, it says conditionS and not a condition.
Just to be correct, there wasn’t a nerf implementing the requirement to get hit. The trait never were in the state that it removed 1 condition per second without being hit. They just didn’t mention the requirement.

They made it look as if you didnt need to be hit, because they didnt mention the hit requirement at first.
At least they didnt doubled the icd if you missed the cleanse.

They like to use lube before the real kittening begins. A reactive ability for the class with the weakest hp and armor that requires being hit to trigger with an ICD and a health threshold requirement is complete flip in terms of the power of the ability.
Is the new DS the trait equivalent of Force Awakens?
DS was extremely broken to begin with mainly because of how easy it was to stay above 90% health on an ele even in 2v1 fights. It’s still an extremely strong traight and far more passive condi cleanse than just about every class.
the 75% threshold combined with on hit is a bit self knockout ….
DS isn’t passive anymore, you have to beg to be hit to remove condi. You can just condibomb a ds ele then stow weapon, dodge his attacks, and see him melt below 75% if he doesn’t have other condi cleanse (unlikely). And if he burns his cleanses right away, he’s pretty done for.
