Question ele weapon sets in dungeons
Well if you go with scepter you need a lightning hammer to use after you stack might.
If you go with dagger, it is easier, but your potential DPS after stacking might will be lower than with LH. I like focus better than dagger for OH since it has lower cooldowns, swirling winds, a longer lasting fire field that you can place away from guradian symbol poop, as well as an oh kitten button. OH Dagger has higher damage in the burst of blasting might, but longer cooldowns on some of its burstier skills, and you shouldn’t need the mobility of rtl outside of skipping trash.
Somewhere theres actual DPS calculations comparing theses but I’d say they’re all good besides D/D, that kitten is for pvp.

Scepter
High spike damage, 2 blast finishers for Might stacking but low DPS, thus generally only used together with Lightning Hammer or other conjured weapons.
MH Dagger
Less spike damage than Scepter but better DPS, less blast finishers than Scepter but more than Staff. Basically the jack-of-all-trades.
Focus
Long-lasting fire field, 2 blast finishers with a fairly low cooldown, nice utility
OH Dagger
Shorter, but bigger fire field, small AoE heal and condition remove, 2 blast finishers but with either long cast time or long cooldown. Overall weaker than Focus, but useful for stacking Might before a fight.
Staff is used to put a 100% uptime on fire fields and it’s the best ele dps according to spreadsheets. Staff is just the 2nd ele weapon, you shouldn’t use that if you’re the only one.
Scepter is more burst and blasts, but awful dps so you need lightning hammer. It’s an optimised group weapon.
Dagger is an high damage setup not reliant on conjures for high level content and pugs, or just when lh isn’t a great option.
Dagger offhand is bursty but doesn’t offer much so stay with focus in general.
