I tried to pick up as meny dmg modifiers as possible and going with rocksolid for getting a secure ether renew, diamond skin vs condimeta, GoEP for kiting / weakness on thiefs warrs. any suggestions on what to change?

You don’t need Diamond skin if you are playing a burst build, as you can handle most condi-tanks by just staying at range, dodging/blinding the important stuff, and killing them before they can load you up. You also have a condi-clear on earth 4 (3 condis) and one on phoenix. Also, you don’t need rock solid to cover ether renewal, as most times you can use positioning for a safe heal, and the other times you have earth 5 and arcane shield to cover your heal. Rock solid is more important for tanky d/d builds that are in the fray consistently.

Glyph of elemental power is a utility more useful for a tanky build fighting against burst, as opposed to a glass build. You won’t be able to get enough hits in that apply weakness for it to matter. You have to use your utils to survive their intial burst and kill thieves as soon as they are revealed. Burst or be-bursted. Against warriors, you win by relying on your blinds/dodges. In this way, renewing stamina and evasive arcana do you more good than the last 20 in earth. GoEP wouldn’t change much, as it doesn’t help you out-dps healing signet (unless maybe you use it in fire to keep burning up to help counter-act OP signet). GoEP is generally just too RNG and doesn’t work here for your burst-build.

You also have to consider your role: you are roaming dps, yet you don’t have the speed to roam at all with focus. You should either use signet of air, or have some form of reliable swiftness (usually the signet with s/f, although glyph of elemental harmony + elemental attunement should be enough).

Finally, the water trait and scholar runes are investing heavily in your initial burst. This might work for some, but if you are trying to learn, you will spend very little time above 90%. Most people are better off with Ogre runes, or strength if you have elemental attunement.

In summary: it could work, but its not going to be better than the 0/30/10/0/30 that some of the mainstream ele’s that play s/f use. Also, this build is VERY unforgiving to use, and if you miss your burst skills you will be doing almost no damage. I played in a match the other day vs. a new ele who was spamming out skills quickly, but didn’t line or land his burst at all – I didn’t feel any pressure and easily dispatched him.
