It’s Kind of annoying to be in the fire attunement for -insert length longer than 5 seconds- then to swap out and see the “15 second” cooldown or w/e unless you have arcana specced. i feel like right now eles are being forced into the arcana tree to attunement swap more.

It’d probably be a better idea to increase the attunement recharge a few seconds maybe but make it where it gets reduced a second every 2-4 seconds you’re in the attunement, to a minimum of course.

Or perhaps rework things so that Arcana affects the global cooldown of switching between any attunements, and more traits in specific elemental lines makes the cooldown when switching from that attunement lower (But obviously not possibly lower than the general cooldown)
So for example, with 30 fire and 30 earth, one could pretty reliably go back and forth between those two, not as fast as they could go from fire to earth, to air, to water, back to fire, But probably significantly faster than the current way things work.

Just an idea. If that was confusing I’ll try to throw out some ballpark numbers to explain further.

I’m trying to figure out why it is almost twice what other people get with switching their weapons. My thief takes 9 seconds to switch weapons but it takes 15 for my ele? If versatility is the selling point of the class making it twice as hard to get that versatility is doing it wrong.

Another pro tip from bunzy – Always have at least 20 points in arcane, If you are going to be switching alot.

Yes, the major traits in this line alone are worth it. The cooldown reductions are an added bonus. One major trait that is a must have is elemental attunement (V) i personally wouldn’t run any build without it.

I do consider at least 20 pts in Arcana to be necessary, as I’ve said before.

And just reiterating what Bunzy said, the actual traits in Arcana being as good as they are make it feel much less like I’m being forced into speccing Arcana just to get the atunement recharge reducation. Elemental Attunement provides a massive increase to the pace of any build, being able to apply buffs at instant speed is incredibly good (especially earth, since you can switch to earth while CC’d to grab the 33% dmg reduction so you don’t get bursted as hard while you can’t act). Vigorous Scepter and Blasting Staff are also really good for their respective weapons they benefit. As is Evasive Arcana further up in the line, but I personally stop at 20.

If the traits in Arcana were crap then I’d have an issue relying on Arcana to get my attunements recharging faster, but both the traits and the stat bonuses are just so good (too good?) to pass up.
