Seems we have had a slight influx of D/D ele players or just new ele’s in general. Probably from the christmas influx.

Here are good resources for pretty much everything you need to know for D/D Ele setups. With resources to the person that pretty much made the build popular

This thread may still be the most popular build thread on the entire forums.

If anyone has any other links I may have forgotten please post this should help the new D/D/New ele users come up with gear and stat choices.

Mostly posts GvG videos for his guild but has some roaming videos I don’t think his build has changed much but he doesn’t give it out though. Of the Ele’s I have personally dueled I consider him the best I have seen so far.

This is a good resource for choosing what pieces to make celestial first. Daphoenix’s post is still relevant information on why to pick celestial, but not what pieces.

I also consider Serane to be the best d/d Ele I have gone against so far too. Our duels were the most enjoyable and intense I have experienced. when I used to play with s/d.

Your point Ozi? Trying to pursue players that d/d is not meant to be used in dungeons because there are other higher damaging alternatives doesn’t make it true. Some players prefer other styles than just dealing higher damage or being at range. Dealing great damage is my style as well but I understand it is not for everyone. Ele is awesome at playing however you want it to play specially in pve and be very effective towards the group even in pug groups.

My point is that their are people that post with only PvE and optimal builds in mind. Not saying that it is right or wrong it just is. If someone doesn’t run D/D Ele in PvE because Anierna says that it’s bad for PvE that is really on them and not Anierna he doesn’t control their mind or body.

He could have worded differently because that statement does sound like elitist.

I think a lot of players (me aswell) came back from a big break and started playing again. Used to roam as d/d nonstop (1000+ hours of d/d in WvW). But fel in love with s/d when I went more into sPvP because of all that skill lag here in deso around march.

Still have some old d/d videos on my channel for those who are interested. Future video’s will most likely be s/d though ^^
