Ride the lightning needs revert...
This was stated for about thousand times here, by many ppl.
Yet still no response from the Devs about it. I’m afraid that Devs are afraid to admit the mistake, even so obvious like this nerf was, unfortunately
This change along with the healing nerf killed D/D in PvP and WvW roaming completely.
And the mobility of other classes got buffed, which even highlighted our nerf even more.
I logged my Thief this weekend and suddenly I was the fastest character in the zerg, made me giggle and little sad at the same time…
It’s especially bothersome considering that Air doesn’t have a whole lot else going for it, which I find to be true on most weapons. Air just needs some buffs in general.
RTL:Stun break, remove immobilize 25sec CD. That’s what it needs.
Or old one with 20sec.

It doesnt need a stun break, it just needs to be back to 20s. The range nerf was enough. Also if anything, have it be affected by cripple and chill as well as swiftness. It also needs to stop rubber-banding so dang hard.

It was huge mistake they mad. They literally broke that skill and mist-form simultaneously. Oh they still work, but they are pale versions of what they used to be (great skills).
Just who would take great skills like that and normalize them with the rest removing their inner particularities (removing utilities and elite in mist form is a disaster of a decision)

I am not an ANet dev. I cannot speak for them. We, however, are all taught to read what someone is saying by their actions. More so, what you do means more than what you say. When you read the forums often enough you learn the phrases that people use to interpret ANet’s actions toward the Ele. Become familiar with this one, “Eles are not allowed to have nice things.”
The original concept skills like RtL were based on was an Ele that used mobility to make up for low survival. It was intended for the Ele to live via ranged attacks, mobility, and superior healing. Two of those three have been severely nerfed to support the new concept of the Ele, spoken by this phrase, “The Ele must die.”
Take care of each other.
Can we all take second to recognize that the 20 second cool down was the first nerf to Rtl and that if they truely reverted it to its original form, it would be 15 seconds. Personally I would want this but I would settle for the 20 second cool down and 15 seconds if you hit your target as well.

You’re not alone who knows this, although 15 secs makes perfect sense (compared to other classes and if you take in account that we have more CDs that other classes, even on our class mechanic), but when you take the elementalist players and their average skill, ppl would be owned really hard if Devs revert all three nerfs from the RTL. However the idea about 20 secs/15 secs when you land the ability seems very nice to me, at least some reward for using the skill properly (or for enemys disability to avoid it)

So you are implying here that 32 CD RTL is somewhat comparable to 9.6s CD Swoop or 16s CD Rush, right?

I was actually talking to grouch about RTL and he said that they have no plans of changing the skill :\
