I’ve dueled a few s/d ele’s that are clearly rocking perplexity runes and have big condition damage. Most of the time in a duel setting these guys are really tough to beat. I’ve looked online for examples of builds or gameplay utilizing this same type of gear set and I’ve really found nothing. It looks fun but really wanting to see it in action outside of a duel before possibly investing in it. Would anyone have any build or vid they’d like to share with the general public on this? I’ve played d/d primarily, direct damager builds.

I just returned after a 4 month break and the first builds I heard about were s/f and d/f condi builds that are supposedly impossible to beat. Guildmates tell me that they’re certain these builds use apothecary gear and perplexity runes, but beyond that, no one I’ve talked to seems to know how to recreate the build.
In other words, yes! Someone please let us in on the super awesome ele condi builds!
frowny clown has a condi build with d/d I would assume s/d and s/f run something similar with it. probably can find his videos under bad elementalist on youtube.
I’m actually watching a s/f perplexity condi ele fight a p/u mesmer right now and it won lol.
if you find a good build, shouldnt share it. it tends to get nerfed when people abuse it. that could be why many people arent sharing. as ozii said frownyclown has sucha build.
Up to this day I still haven’t encounter a single s/f, s/d, d/f condition built ele that is above average (player skill wise) to go against on 1v1. I have faced a good amount of d/d but I’m afraid the only one I would consider to be good with this build so far is Frowny clown.

S/d could work in some situations I believe earth and fire auto both apply conditions. Would work great if you could maintain distance but sadly that’s not the case. I like d/d because it applies just as much pressure it would in a power build. I heard perplexity might get a 30s icd which would ruin 1vX situations where you could interrupt more than 1 at once. Search bad elementalist on youtube. Lightningblaze I’m not that great when I lose 2/3 duels to you lol. I’m out of town this week so didn’t get another chance to fight you. Been using signet of air instead of mist form. Like it so far

I consider you great because even if it is 2/3 ratio, you still defeat me while others never do with your same build. Also, I am forced to pay close attention to your active attunement and get myself at range to get away from your constant pressure; Once again compared to others I don’t need to do neither of those things. I have modified My burst ele quite a bit with a new set of gears and 2 different new burst builds that I will be running after Dec 10th patch. The one I’m using right now has about the same type of burst as my previous one but with an increased of 200 more armor for a total of 3007 armor with rock barrier and out of earth attunement. I’m running rune of the traveler instead of divinity now because of that reason. I got tired of replacing one of my utilities for signet of air even if it was temporarily. Hopefully, when the new bl takes place, all players across all the servers can meet there. It would be great dueling you again!

@frownyclown they added a 8 sec icd to the 6 piece the rest of the rune is unchanged. It does hurt your builds ability to apply the confusion rapidly with shocking aura, earthquake and updraft
@LightningBlaze what server are you on? I remember seeing your char pic here on forums and one day there was a little asura ele that got me with the FGS when I was on my thief he looked like your character. Don’t think I ever ran into you on my ele though.
You might have seen me dueling actually lol i just recently made my own perplexity ele build 3 days ago with scepter/focus i don’t use dagger.
It’s absolutely beast mode 1v1 but lackluster in group battles I have yet to lose a duel against anything that isnt a hammer war. Pretty much dominates condi engies/mesmers. Sometimes condi necros give me a problem. Thieves can’t kill me no matter what they try to pull and most classes can’t run with 50% chill/cripple uptime. Comet with water traits being a 20 sec aoe interupt is my main way or getting those confusion stacks.

I’m in Blackgate server. I’m no longer using the gear from that picture….. well sometimes I do but it is only in duel scenarios now instead of roaming. This is the gear I’m using now for roaming
