Wanted to ask and get a idea from the forums how much HP you guys like to run with.
For PvE,WvW, and s/tPvP
Personally I roll with about 16.5k – 17k. I have slowly been cutting down on vitality to 16.5k currently wanted to know how much you guys like to have and what you feel is to much or to little?
I mostly WvW so I feel cutting down on HP is ok because the scaling on vitality is high since 1 point of vitality = 10 hp with WvW bonus it gets to high for my liking though healing effectiveness is increased it doesn’t scale like vitality does.

it really depends how much armor/healing you are running also, and how you like to play. Atm, I am running S/D 2586 armor (before earth barrier), 16k hp. Previously was 19k hp/2300 armor, which was a bit more durable. 300 healing (just water points). I do okay with either of those setups. If I was still D/D, I would want to keep these approximate numbers and add in another 200-300 healing, because D/D is going to have access to Evasive Arcana, more frequent heals through swapping and Signet of Renewal, and a short cd on cone of cold.
14k hp 1k toughness
I’m suicidal but I like BIG numbers.

Rofl dat glass but I bet you see some decent numbers on that though. You run S/D?
Right now I have 636 healing 1.7k toughness = 2658 armor.
I actually use sigil of life as my stacker most times I do have a bloodlust dagger also but I feel I do decent damage so the extra healing works when I get 25 stacks of life then I put on the force dagger.
I run d/f, using the projectile and normal invuln together with my high dps to balance my squishyness.
tbh I’ve thought of getting some more valks / cavalier armors… but unless it’s a massive swap it won’t do anything. 50-80 more toughness barely makes a difference.

It really depends on your role. I keep a set of soldier’s armor with boon durr runes and a sentinel’s staff for zerg fights, that gives me about 2500 armor and 18k-ish hp.
For roaming s/d or d/d I use a full knight’s armor set with beryl jewels, a mix of knight’s/valkyrie’s trinkets and weapons and a ascended zerker/valkyrie amulet. Around 2600 armor and just shy of 15k hp.
In zergs I prefer a slightly higher HP to deal with all the condition spam and soak damage while CC’d. Enemy zergs (well all zergs) tend to be stacked with soldier’s gear so there usually isn’t a lot of direct damage coming from them. What really kills is the CC+condition spam.
In smaller groups I prefer more toughness to deal with burst built thieves and more crit damage for killing before I am killed. Most roaming groups are running some crit-damage builds as killing quickly is key to roaming. Some toughness to take that “call target, three thieves spam #2 while a guard/war/ele/engi pins enemy to the ground” tactic is pretty necessary unless you have your own pocket thieves to refuge-rez you every 10 seconds.
But then, I run builds that many would probably consider borderline blasphemous, so have some grains of salt with any “advice” I may give.
