Hiya fellow GW2 friends!!
I have been trying out my ele with d/d lately and cannot seem to do a whole lot of damage initially.. I use a mixture if PPC and PVT armor.

But anyway, I’m hoping to try this “Fresh air” build with a S/D but can’t really find a guide when I google.. Would anyone happen to know:
1)Is d/d better than s/d for roaming *typically (and maybe i just really suck at it)
2)Where I could find a recent or good guide?

S/d is a sPvP thing atm. Ele brings some of the best burst damage a team provided from constant air bursts with fresh air. I dont think its a super viable thing in WvW unless you running a super glassy insta nuke and kill the monkies testacle spec.

S/D can be pretty good for small scale/roaming, given that it’s similar in numbers to sPvP. The downside is that DT and Phoenix aren’t as great without a node to drop on. Blind spam and Fresh Air burst are still effective, however.

D/D is pretty popular for roaming. Run the usual Cantrips and/or Arcane utils for added burst.

You really have to play your fights well to succeed as either build though: Ele’s are unforgiving and have a fairly high skill cap.

PS: There are tons of builds for both on http://intothemists.com/guides/ and on this forum. Use Google instead of the forum search and set the date as June 1st to get recent (post-patch) builds.
