[SPVP] "New" to Elementalist
Overdispell.
You should change of healing skill.
Sigil of strengh is useless with you’re set up.
DD ele with battle manage to reach 25stack power, so with strengh rune that brings you to near +100% might duration, you’ll stay at 25might always ^^
Battle + energy FTW
…
It does the job well :-)
Should have Signet of Restoration for sPvP.
Signet of restoration is pretty good on D/D. Ether renewal is great on a staff Ele as you can get interrupted when using it on a D/D quite easily since you’ll be close to melee range.
Sigil of Strength is still good to use in that setup if you want faster might stacking, but you won’t be critting a whole lot with your build since you’re not using a zerker amulet and have no points in air. Personally, I go with Sigil of Battle and Doom. Doom is great as you drop poison on people all the time and it’s main use is to drop healing effectiveness on enemies. It works wonders against Warriors/Thieves/Necro’s, which are basically our bane.
If you can unlock it, Arcane Brilliance is an amazing healing tool since it’s a blast finisher and does damage. It will help with might stacking and cleaving.
Also, mist form on D/D sucks. Use Armor of Earth. If you time it right, you can have almost perma protection. Once you start taking damage, pop it, wait til it drops, and if you take Earth’s Embrace to give another Armor of Earth once you hit 50% HP, you’ll have a lot of uptime on damage reduction/stability/CC breaks. Stone splinters is ok, but with your build, Armor of Earth would do wonders.
I tried all of your suggested variations but my problem still persist: I can’t unleash enough damage and at the same time I take too much damage. Fire #3 is kitten hard to land, firegrab has a 45 secs CD, churning earth is too predictable etc etc.
That’s the problem with DD. Until your opponent make a mistake and all your combo hit, you’ll have to fight and pray cause yes, its either predictable (churning earth (but YOU have to cast it at the good time)), either to hard to land (fire grab). You’re able to kill tank, but its pretty kitten the other hand, you should roll on every zerker.

Welcome to Ele, take a seat.
This class was designed around playing 5x better than your opponent and hoping they make mistakes. You will never beat another class if the player is as skilled as you. Not unless we’re talking about the top 1% who have spent hundreds/thousands of hours mastering Ele.
Also Churning Earth works much better as an opener when you combine it with Lightning Flash + attunement switch.

Every ine says SoR but its seems rather week to me.
Sry to kinda high jack your thread but does any have a d/d build that focus.more on support over dps. I know weird but im not a fan of staff for spvp and im meh on scepter.
Try and watch cmc stream Ele on Twitch. Just watching how he plays should be sufficient to learning how to play D/D in PvP.
I think the big thing about any class in GW2 is knowing the general rotations, limitations, means of doing damage, and how to avoid damage on that class. I don’t think there are really any “hard” specs in the game. So just watch how someone else plays, try and copy that, and you should roughly learn how to play that spec well.

Have you tried using a different amulet? Personally, I don’t like Celestials. I often get the “I don’t hit hard enough, nor am I tanky/healing enough to do anything effectively” when I use a celestials, which makes sense considering it has no focus of stats.
I tried a soldiers and I felt way more tanky, while still doing some good damage as it still retains some power, though your crit will be nill.
