need moar shocking auras
i play scepter/focus so i miss the dagger shocking aura and i build diffrent but yes surging + rebound and lighning rod is amazing fun :-). It´s a bit hard to give up soldier rune, it reduces team support and self clear plus some extra life. Did put eather renewal for a try but it´s much more selfish. Teamsupport goes down to a minimum. I am a fan of surging rune and use it on my warrior.
The initial strike power of this build is devasting using earth armor + overlaod + shocking if they want to interupt you. In a point spamfeast you down them all XD …. I usually add swirling winds before OL.
Usually only a necros currupt will stop you ….

This looks like a fun build, even for roaming in WvW. I haven’t faced any auramancers before so I would like to see how this fares in WvW as well. Only think im not a fan of is the lack of stab on OL and it still squish to somewhat decent DPS teefs

Not OP or anyone related to him, I just played the build some games. So I might be wrong.
This build has two separate states. The first state where you burst people down while tanking a lot of damage, the second state where you don’t have anything left and should run away until you get your CDs back.
A simple rotation would be engaging in earth with earth 4 and OL (or any other spell before that if needed), using earth 5 as long as you’re getting hit OR about to finish the OL channeling, use Rebound and swap to air, air 4 and 5 when / if needed, cast OL and armor of earth (for the stability) asap. Once air OL’s channeling is over swap to fire and use fire 3, 5 and 2. At this point either your opponent is low and you can either finish him off while in fire, swap water for water 2 or reswap to earth.
If you don’t have rebound up you’ll use air 2 instead.
I’m wondering if the rune that gives 33% added aura duration would not fit this playstyle, less downtime on the auras.
question : won’t you get utterly annihilated by condi builds?
I run cleansing flame not arcane shield but the shield is good too. Just the CD …
Against necromancers you can win by doing full preassure, if the necro has stability and survives your attack you die on the second condi bomb.
Condi Coronomancer is usually a loss but also here you might get him on the wrong foot with shocking aura and kill fast enough.
I think condi warrior is not winable. nless hes bad an sits in you OL not interrupting you …
Condi thief might get the thief killed fast but you should run cleansing flame so you can absorb two assaults with magnetic wave and flame otherwise i think you die.
I run stone heart and cleansing flame and thiefs are not a great problem but they can run away. But without the second cleanse i might struggle agaisnt condi thiefs damage.
So yes condi builds are hard. Necro, crono must be bursted/killed in you shoking aura timeframe or you die. I can´t imagine to beat condi warrior that uses defy pain and good stability. Thiefs are easy with a second cleans on bar.

Seems like my first old 9 months version of “Stun-o-Matic” pvp tempest build.
I update it many times by trial-and-error approach and I suggest a slightly different trait and amulet for use in correct way dagger and aura.
