Scepter air AA visual change?
Maybe just another victim of ANets totally reasonable, intelligent and well-thought-out aproach on reducing so called “visual noise”…

The attack is so useless that I turned off the auto on it, so even when I do use scepter, I don’t use it. So I don’t actually know what it looks like now.

A-net has been nerfing visuals in the last months now… i would welcome you and others to post your dissatisfaction/opinion on these changes in the post i mentioned.

Maybe it’s some guys from this kitteny ESL sticking their noses into the game telling blabla it has to be all visible. Then make it visible in pvp or some effects slider
I know there is a lot of clutter going on on bosses too, but what I see is that most problematic is the area where skill is hitting boss (in raid for example) and the very end of animations from many players put on top of each other makes the boss look like a christmas tree, all covered by white shiny effects making it unable to see what action he is gonna perform. Maybe just reduce that ‘end-effect’ of skills and leave ‘mid-effect’ like projectiles or other things be as they were? Plox.

Scepter air aa could have two patterns:
while moving ele make hand like gun and shot transparent air bullet 1/4 cast time, low dmg, vunerability;
while standing ele cannon from both hand like swan kight in saint seyia and shot high dmg lighting arc 1s cast, high dmg. // visualy it could be like that old version that tomiyou posted but not lighting channeling animation of it, just shot it at end of casting and penetrate everything on its way. //

While browsing through some old footage of Fresh Air builds (that are dead now btw), I noticed that the Scepter AA looks incredibly amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZqGOKsRMGI (1:03), while ingame it looks worthy of pitty for a “lightning arc”. Was it changed or is something wrong with my settings?

Fresh Air Tempest is amazing, but normal ele can’t even come close to the Tempest version.

NO defense since you’re channeling 50% of the time (can’t dodge or swap attunements or you do no damage!), but big damage. And AoE! AoE big damage.
Fresh Air Tempest is amazing, but normal ele can’t even come close to the Tempest version.
indeed. normal ele only gets like 75%? of the dps.
but does have the benefit of being able to avoid all the damage and weave in utility at any time without losing tons of dps
