Scepter skill 1 need to change
tbh all auto attacks on scepter are crap, the only reason why you use air is because it’s a channel and works well with fresh air.
the reason why you would ever use water auto attack is because shatterstone is crap and the other skills deal less damage + it’s still faster than earth and fire.
earth is crap because it’s slow and the damage is low
fire is crap because it’s even slower
scepter needs an overhaul of at least 50% of its skills, making it faster and giving it kiting potential.
I would love for the Scepter’s autoattacks to be improved a bit. My wish list:
Fire 1: Drop casting time to 3/4.
Water 1: Each projectile applies a “Cooling” debuff to your target that converts to a brief Chill at 9 stacks.
Air 1: Add an extra damage proc upon completing the channel.
Earth 1: Mostly fine. Maybe increase the Bleed duration a little.

Everything I say is only in reference to PvE and WvW.
I think scepter auto attack is underrated in PvP (earth and fire) … granted its not a viable build yet but I’m trying to make a conditionalist with scepter/force..
earth spams 3 stacks of bleed with each attack.. thats quite annoying and a bait for enemy to cleanse condis.
fire auto spams burns which scares enemy as well because, hell its the one condition everyone is keeping an eye out for…
Once you see them cleanse those auto attack condis, you nuke them with everything you got lol. unfortuntely our condi nuke is a bit weak right now… still tinkering and trying to figure out an optimal condi nuke in my test build but I gotta say, scepter auto attack (just fire and earth) does have it’s uses in PvP..
I play the S/F condition elementalist. Burning is weak on that. The fire auto is near useless. The only burn that is good on that is the cleansing flame. I am not speced water an only use this cantrip. Its one of my core spells to survive and damage.
All know dragon tooth is strong and it burns, but only in PvE (or to kill guards in wvW). I rarely hit (and thus use it) against players. In WvW i go fire, wall, phönix, fire aura and swap. 1+2 is worthless for me, a second more in fire can be death i need air or earth for imidiate control/damage mitigation, also the swap hits.
The earth auto is fine if you utilize bleeding, but bleeding itself is weak. Slighly faster flying projectiles and longer duration will help.
Air auto is somewat clunky too. As with fire i want to swap out fast. bolt, blind, knockdown (missile defence if fighting rangers) and off i go.
When waiting for cooldown i wait in earth firing bleeds. Since i am not speced water i rarely go in. Most used autos are earth + air since i run in air and wait there for earth CD. I usualy used F/E/Ar but currently i test air instead of arcane and it works.
the whole build is fun for me. The drawback is it´s easily counterable. Not enough conditions to cover cleanse. (Necros ara a nemesis) but also a strong counter to most berzerker builds. Adding weakness to air auto would propably work wonders.
