Shockwave as a Cone blast attack?
Well guardian staff 1 is terrible so I’m not sure you are using the right benchmark here
I was bothered about these, and they’re still pretty hit-and-miss, but I’ve come to love the 1200 range, especially on Shock Wave. Use the terrain right and you can land an easy immob to chain into.
Gust... I agree I’d like this to be a shorter-range blowout attack, but when combined with an immobilise it’s still pretty useful. Point-blank, you mostly need to count your enemy’s dodges and cripple/chill them.
I’d like it if Gust hit more reliably. Sometimes it doesn’t even hit 2 enemies that are on top of eachother. Your suggestion would make it more useful to me.

Well I was giving an example :P. Our Ice/Fire breath is to narrow and the guardian staff 1 is too wide.!
Looking at the new Air Blast on Engineer’s Flamethrower I hope they might add this for us.

gust simply needs to be cast at point blank range or on a non-moving target.. they even reworked it and sometimes it is buggy.. it’s good for repositioning npc
but for all its uses let’s look at something else, icy ground is a very overpowered snowball mayhem skill.. if modified correctly (900-1k range, 200 for a smaller cast area than some ground targeted skills, and an underpowered launch 200) and obviously this would be in air and not leave a field on the ground.. this would become a great defensive addition to staff, activating on the spellcasters location would be a prized interrupt against all those distance closing stun spammers…

as for shockwave, it’s pretty good actually.. it even rides up/down walls and terrain.. used to be able to cast it turn direction and unleash it on a target, but they changed that.. you have to be facing your target or allow the auto target to reposition your character, otherwise it interrupts itself.. like lightning surge z_z
