Signet of Water Active
4 sec of Chill is one of the longest duration in game for a chill skill.
All other “passive removal skills” (e.g. Signet of Resolve) remove only one condi each 10 sec., so its in line with those effects on other professions.
Not sure how to buff this without making it out of bounds, perhaps getting the cool down to 25 sec – not sure…

I was actually looking for a discussion on Signet of Water, odd enough nobody talk about it until now. Anet buff Signet of Fire/Earth and somewhat change Air. But leaving Signet of Water untouched… its the most underused Ele signet.
4 sec of chill is only single target chill, Frozen ground can achieve that with AoE. Chill condition doesn’t do any damage, unless you are wearing Superior Rune of Ice for the extra 7% damage. Anet really need to buff Chill condition in the game. Nevertheless this Signet also need some improvement.
The remove 1 condition every 10 secs is just so unreliable and seem random… my suggestion to anet is…
- Passive = “+180 Healing” OR “increase damage when you are in Water Attuntment, matching the Piercing shard trait” OR “have perma regen buff!”
- When activated = “remove 1 condition and apply chill condition” (lower the recharge)
Pssst, don’t give the Devs bad ideas about buffing chill duration, we Eles suffer the most from chill
Turing Signet of Water into an AoE skill with the same diameter as Signet of Air would be awesome. You could tweak it a bit if you allow it only to hit 3 instead of 5, of the AoE chill feels a bit powerful.

Another idea I had was adding a daze, anet already showed they have dazes in water attunement with comet, and having an interrupt active on a mesmer signet. Ele’s also have ZERO interrupt utilities and with the added GM trait in air making interrupts even more important, why not add one and remove an active that everyone hates anyways?
