Skill recharge rate traits.
Well some of these trait only reduces the CD of an weapons that they can only use offhand or main hand. Like Focused Mastery for the Guardian. Some of these trait are better, some are worst, i think that for Ele its in the middle. Of course better trait are always welcome, but i don’t think its a huge problem.
And for Conjure weapons, it’s not like the need increased viability. Except the shield, they are all very very viable in a lot of situation. The Bow have one of the best AoE Burst, the Hammer have one of the best auto-attack and the Fiery Greatsword, well its a freaking good weapon.
first: fgs and conjured flame axe are both fire type of weapons – which one should it apply to, or even both?
secondly: dungeon ele builds often go some way into fire and could get the fgs recharge pretty easily (and change it after a fight with fgs to something during the cooldown time). might be op then
apart from that, I agree the traits are often not worth taking, unless you follow a very specific rotation which benefits from it (and when can we actually just do multiple rotations without any interruptions like healing, dodgeing etc?).
I’d rather see weapon skill recharge reduction in general with a supplementary bonus.
as a completely not thought out example:
under fire we get a 10% reduction on all weapon skills plus an additional 80 power;
for water 10% reduction plus some vitality (or healing power). and so on.
we could get to 20% reduction on all skills like a few other classes (i.e. guard on 2h cooldowns, which works for 5 weapons including underwater) with a combination of two of those traits – wasting one trait compared to other classes but getting a few more stats.
to get a rather strong 40% reduction we’d have to spread out our traits so far the build would get weakened a lot because of the loss of 4 traits and less synergy – so this could balance itself out.
just an idea though, I haven’t thought too much about it, it could have serious flaws =)
You just need a build that uses one elemnt alot and then uses the other as support, like fresh air builds. it would help alot to have 20% cdr in the air trait tree, but most ppl take bolt, training and fresh air. If you play staff water cdr is helpful for fields in wvw. On the other hand if you are using a focus, having earth CDR is very good with earth 4/5. I do agree that they are better on other profs but they do have their uses and it might be good but it doesnt compete with the meta.
