Air 4 gives you invuln and is great if you are immobed.
What? Ride the Lightning doesn’t make you invulnerable, on the contrary, it makes you a complete sitting duck that’s ripe for picking if used while you’re immobilized.

On SF sometime i run that build, taking elemental surge and shocking aura, with maradeur and it si fun because you really can 100>0 most of the classe in few second.
But on SD i simply cant leave water because it give me too much susistain with triple cantrip, or with the reduction on water’s skills cooldwn, and i need it since kitten u dont have any defence out of your blinds for ranged attack.
here is why: mesmers and lb rangers.

played sd the last couple of weeks. on 50% cele its playstyle is like dd with a range option survivability wise. totally viable. the real fun starts only with zerk/cav.
imo earth is a must as s/d (for either written in stone or stoneheart) . but well everyone as he pleases and goes best with.
solo fire-air-earth or air-earth-water/arc or even earth-water-arc. it all has its good and bads.
i love the playstyle as im maxed out bored of dd’s “usefullness” and i also like to adjust to wvw’s daily flavors.
