Hi. Some ideas that i thought would make scepter eles more viable. Nothing seems to be over the top for me and it would increase QoL for scepter / fresh air eles.
Notice this is for PvP with fresh air in mind. No real damage numbers added to reduce confusion and to stay on topic.

Dragons tooth – 1,5s cast time, after cast removed. maybe increase cooldown to 10-15s?
REASON = Highly telegraphed animation. Easy to dodge. Never hits unless heavily cc’d. Just too long cast time overall.

Phoenix – Increase damage (by reasonable amount).
REASON = Hits like butterfly. Is on par with air attunement swap + lightning strike but is on 20s cooldown instead of 3 1/4s or 5s.

Flamestrike – Decrease cast time to 3/4s. Lower burn duration to 1s or 1.5s?!? Increase base damage.

Shatterstone – Increase damage and cooldown.
REASON = Has no real use and/or doesnt fit any rotation. Overall useless skill. Would add up some nice cleave.

Dust Devil – Cooldown reduced to 10s.
REASON = Adds up extra little defense and synergises better with attunement cooldown.

I agree with dragon tooth, lower the after cast but increase the CD duration.

Phoenix is fine though, in fact it does MASSIVE damage. If you can aim your phoenix at your enemy slightly behind him, then Lightning flash in front of him, your phoenix should be able to hit 3 times.

Really though, they need to buff scepter auto attack. It’s just too kitten to do any sustainable damage.

Phoenix is fine, bordered to OP. It can hit 3-5 times on a single enemy doing around 12k damage.
The only real buff scepter needs is AA buffs. all other skills are fine.
MAYBE shatterstone slight buff, where it chills with every pulse.

The only thing I aggree with that could use a slight buff is shatterstone, but doesn’t have to be big.
Next to Phoenix already does huge damage and has really strong utility: Condi removal+Vigor.
I think Autoattacks are more important to help out tbh.

All of them need to have their cast times reduced, and their base damage values improved.

Ice Shards and Stone Shards need faster projectile speed and lower projectile flight arcs. YOU CAN OUTRUN THESE WITH JUST SWIFTNESS! It’s inexcusable.

Shatterstone needs to be completely reworked. It simply does not have a payoff that comes anywhere close to justifying its long windup. It could pulse Chill while winding up, and be a Blast finisher.

The beautiful thing is, with just an auto attack QoL pass, Scepter could become much more viable as either a burst weapon, or as a condi weapon.

And while we’re at it, we could use a change to Churning Earth too…it’s pretty useless in PvP.

Don’t forget lightning arc… Award us for comepleting the whole cast, for example strike a foe with a blinding strike or whatever. Or a (Lesser) lightning strike when completed.

This would hurt PvE scepter too much since it offer great support from rapid procing blast finisher. Would prefer if dragon tooth has a bigger AoE to make pvpers more aware of their positioning or end up using a dodge.

Flamestrike – Decrease cast time to 3/4s. Lower burn duration to 1s or 1.5s?!? Increase base damage.

This has been a problem for PvE as well since Dagger/Focus offer far better sustain condition damage than scepter which is disappointing. Flame strike should have stronger condition damage since scepter skill 2 and 3 has very high raw damage. Increase the burn duration or stacks would help scepter compete well against dagger in condition damage.

Dragons tooth could really appreciate a reasonable buff, i’ve hit a newbie guard twice with it and still didnt even bring him down anywhere near death let alone half health. Something that hugely telegraphed should do solid damage.
Warrior rifle kill shot comes to mind since it has an obvious tell and long cast time and when it hits it hurts like hell, but this has a similar if even more obvious tell and hits pretty weakly, assuming it hits.
Currently it’s only use is for area denial, baiting a dodge and wasting a cooldown while crossing fingers waiting for ‘some’ damage.
Only really used because fire autoattack is so weak.

Phoenix is still really good, very happy with it since it’s the only thing that really does damage in fire attunement.

Shatterstone is an empty button, not worth the time casting it, even if it were a blast finisher i’d still consider just autoattacking.
