Some questions before I play ele.

Currently Ele is in a rather comfortable spot for viability.
In all aspects of PvE (Open world, Raids and Fractals alike) Ele is one among the Top-DPS classes and is highly sought after for all sorts of content. If you want to play a little off-meta you can also do heal and support for your group.
In WvW Eles make for potent healers and even stronger boon support, keeping their allies alive with strong heal spikes and condition clear.
In PvP Ele is more of a bunker class with strong support and healing capabilities and is able to fend off a node even from multiple opponents until reinforcements arrive.
I hope you’ll have fun with one of the most intricate classes in the game. Eles are a lot of fun to play with, even more fun to play as but can also be a pain to play against.

Long story short, loved my ele but decided to boost him considering I have a few 80s already, but before I decide to dedicate some real time into him right now what is the current viable builds/weapons for pve content in general?
Like hot, fracts, and raiding?
How are they doing in pvp or even wvw? I know these are allot of questions but I need something else to play, I am getting bored with my rev.

For PvE builds, check this site. Long story short – d/w, sc/w and staff are the popular options, first two have a choice between condi and power builds.
