Hey! I’m sort of a new player here. Some experience in Mmo’s such as being top 10 as of last tuesday, 6.0 sort of made me quit(World of Warcraft)- any who, I bought the game last week and have leveled a guardian + elementalist to 80, i have a bit more fun on the ele, so i decided to play them. I have full zerker gear(exotic)/ascended zerker necklace with an offensive slot, and was just curious on what my role in dungeons should be?

I’m playing staff/fire camp:

6/6/0/0/2 build for staff conjure on metabattle, however im using FGS in place of elementals, and movement signet in place of mist form.

Can’t afford strength/scholar runes so I’m using centaur(only about 18g in funds, i dont think I should dump it all into exotic gear i -may- replace?) while also using frailty + force signet.

I have trouble stacking might. Most boss fights I am able to start in earth, I use Earth #2 swap to fire, 2, 3, ARW, 2 again, ARB, then spam fireballs till rotations are up again?

Just curious on what the optimal might stacking would be for -only- having a staff available

Considering you put the condition of only having a staff available, the rotation you’re using is already pumping out as much might as possible for staff camping.

So the rotation I put actually doesn’t have to be edited in any way? That’s good.

Is it needed to get a dagger/scepter of some sort to stack might for exp dungeons/low fractals?

Staff elementalists can provide a lot of fields for blasting, but are limited in the number of skills to do the blast finisher within the field. For the weapon skills, you only have Earth #2. You can get a couple more blast finishers via utility skills (Arcane Brilliance heal and Arcane Wave as a utility). You can really only use your own Earth #2 skill at the start of the fight, or you will probably end up with fire attunement on cooldown when you’d want to try to re-use that combo and won’t have a fire field to drop on top of Earth #2 when you want it.

However, as a Fire-camping staff elementalist, you can keep 100% up-time on a fire field for other people in the party to blast for might. If you have a good party, you can have pretty high might stacks from your fire field and those other blast finishers. If you don’t have a party who is blasting in your fire field, you’re pretty limited to might stacking when your utilities come off of cooldown.
