Staff Ele Video enjoy
get a frostbow ftw
I will never understand why eles cast meteor shower when you know the pain train is fully stacked on retaliation…no patience whatsoever.
Use tornado..elemental will not help you much in these situations
Using tornado for meteor shower is for bads. Yeah it increases DPS but you can be doing other things then spinning in circles with a giant target on your forehead saying kill me kill me. Like using the rest of your skills

So, random aoe tagging players for low damage, before running from the first player that heads your way.
Pretty much my staff elementalist wvw experience also.

I’ll second (third?) that experience as well.
Nice video.

Yes and no.
I am fond of meteor shower/tornado combo in a few instances; mainly in confined spaces.
Tornado + its skill 2 along with moving along various combo fields can be a great benefit to those around you and detrimental to the opposition. Also, you dont have to be in tornado for the whole 15s. Its all about picking the right situation and applying.

This isn’t always the case. I’ve destroyed zergs on walls with meteor/tornado. Like anything it just has its situations, and you have to be smart enough to cancel when meteor shower is finished, otherwise yes you spin around just asking to be targeted.
Edit: Doh, just like the guy above me said.
If you switch to earth after meteor, and use magnetic aura, then tornado, you are increasing your damage and safety.
It is up to your teammates to see/hear you call out tornado to drop fields near it. You’re then aoe cleansing/healing, bursting opponents, reflecting damage back at ranged, and moving with ease from the stability the tornado gives you. You simply turn it off early if you have confusion on.
Tornado/Mag. Aura is great for getting through a choke point. Tornado as a solitary dps is bad, but the knockback could be very useful in places like an East Keep defense on cata wall, bridge, and knocking people down from hiding spots.
Drop a lava font, then tornado, to get that thief pressuring the backline. Or do it over a chill field. Or small water.
Meteor/Tornado is the single best downed finisher in the game. It should not be overlooked. With enough critical damage %, there’s no war-bannering though it.
If the right situation comes along:
Arcane power > Meteor Shower > Magnetic Aura> Tornado (skill 2)
If targeted (after Aura drops):
Drop out > Dodge > Mist

Okei..like the rest of the skills you are using in this video?Besides meteor?..or the whatever-whenever water fields and the amazing control skills you show?..
Let me rephrase it for you..Tornado is only for people who know when and how to use it.
Not overly exited by your video..also bad music at the start.
