Before I start, let me ask a question.
Is it normal for a profession to have auto attacks that can be dodged simply by walking? I have not played all of the professions and I do not know. From my experience in every game I use a staff with my ele, there are numerous occasions where my auto attacks record “out of range” on 700-900 range enemies. I get “obstructed” messages when there is no wall in immediate sight. Another oddity I witness my auto attacks doing is flying off into space and oblivion when an enemy uses a dash. Quite odd. Perhaps I’m jaded with my “special aa’s.” On another note, why are some spells like gust so kitten bad? I’ll explain. First off, it’s a gust of air and it cannot hit enemies that are on an opposite platform from you at same height with ground at a lower height in between the two of you. It’s a gust of air that must follow the terrain? Also, it’s so kitten bad sometimes it won’t hit an enemy 200 units away from me that I targeted when they are walking no more than 80 degrees at me. It’s literally a push back can it please at least have a larger radius my god it doesn’t hit enemies I walk 200 units up to if they so much as dab a or d. Almost the same can be said for earth 5 but not exactly because I use it with 4. Before you say use gust with air 5 know that that puts the enemy out of range of my abilities. It can only hit enemies that are executing. It’s almost as if these spells were designed for trash mobs in 2012 and nothing else. To sum up, I’m not complaining about staff ele. I am only criticizing the ridiculous aa’s and other abilities that can miss completely just by casually walking. Staff ele is rather nice as long as you use every arcane ability and have a front line. But for kitten’s sake, can my kitten aa’s please hit enemies that are at 700 kitten range?
