Hi all,
i know that i’m probably wasting my time but it can’t hurt to ask.

Is there any way at all to reacquire the starting headpiece (e.g. the flaming jewel floating in front of my head) if i deleted it?

Months ago when i first changed it i deleted it since i thought that i had no use for it..i loved it’s skin but hei, no stats..
I would really love to transmute it on my nice exotic headpiece..so..is there any way i can put my hands on one?

Yes there is. You can start a new character with the headpiece you want, then use regular transmutation stones to transfer the looks to a white item. The white item will not become soulbound, allowing you give it to another character. You can then use a second transmutation stone to get the look to your gear.

I am not sure if this works but you can try it:

1. Create a new character with the headpiece you want.
2. Transmute the headpiece with a white/blue headpiece.
3. The starting headpiece is now account bound.
4. Transmute the starting headpiece with your exotic headpiece.

This gives you option to use a necro face elemental..
or mesmer on necro.. or just mix it all how you want.

I have both necro and mesmer face in bank.. Account bound.
(using fire stone on my elemental alrdy to fit my gear).

this works with guardian shoulder and helm also.
So you can have it on warrior if you want to create som fun confusion.

Porblem!!

Starting head peice do not have rune slots so you wont be able to mix them with a high level item (unless you give up the rune).

It worked i really love that little floating thing!

Just for future reference: i just transmuted it to my exotic headpiece, no problem in converting the rune to it^^

It doesnt let me have the rune

That’s weird..are you using the lvl 80 transmutation stone? I had no problem, just drag and drop the two items (the starting flame and my ac headpiece), select appearance from the first, stats and rune from the second and that’s it..

Yes, I have skin option, stat option but rune option is empty

You get the rune/stone.. you had in the high lvl item.
(i did)
I didnt see it.. but it was there after transmute.

It’s a bummer that it’s the eles and Guardians both get neat looking starting gear but turns out they don’t exist elsewhere in game
