Don’t know about you guys, but I’m more than a little kitten ed right now. Take a look at arcane power and arcane wave, both of those skills have had their base damage reduced by nearly 20-25%, which means 40-50% for crit damage. These skills used to have a base damage of nearly 900 with zerk amulet, now they have a base of 685. Is this some kind of sadistic joke? I know I’m not making a mistake here.
What makes this even more disturbing is the fact that they actually buffed warriors even further, giving them even more healing power. So you give an already overpowered class even more power, and nerf the least viable of all the classes. This is absurd!

Maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll just remove them from the game eventually. 3 of our utilities squandered for some crappy pure damage that probably only serves to make anet weaken our normal attacks (because zomg that ele burst is too strong). I’d prefer my utilities to actually be utile.
An Official statement would be helpful.
My Arcane Blast shows a couple hundred less than it usually does, it also hits less to(but cant be sure from just a night of new builds out in wvw) Is it a tool tip “fix”, a stealth nerf or what?
Anet why not a heads up in the PATCH NOTES? Arcane skills are key parts of some great builds.
they will say something on this line: “it was displaying wrong values before. Now it has been normalized to display the correct values”
there has never been a patch yet without stealth ele-nerfs
I’m not the least bit surprised at this point. I fully go in expecting to be nerfed whenever a new patch comes out. Warriors will continue becoming more godlike and overpowered while we keep getting nerfed to the point where we can’t even kill a rabbit without help from another class.

Just like mistform, which is no longer worth using because it’s been nerfed so much. Our arcane skills will follow suit and eventually also become worthless as well. They want us to all use nothing but signets now and hide in a zerg being boon monkeys for their golden child, the warrior.
I think I used the active spell on a signet once then never dared doing this again.

Warriors and guardians cry the river because Quick Breathing, Pure of Voice and Sigil of paralyzation got bugfixed while we get yet another stealth nerf or “normalization”.
Damage is basically the same as it has been. They both hit for 3,200-3,400 with my all in build, which is the same range as when I tested them in July.
I think only the tooltip was modified. The tooltip was erroneous, so we can’t complain.
I noticed same thing, tooltip saying 789. it used to be over 1k….
Of course Anet will get complaints if they make stealth bugfixes. If the playerbase isn’t notified and someone spots the change, it will seem like they are trying to conduct something “illegal” behind your back, hoping you won’t notice. That certainly emits bad vibes.
Hopefully they get better at informing the player base in the future. Not like you can upset eles much more anyway.

I thought their primary use was to grant a combo finisher anyways. Now if we can just get Arcane Shield to be a whirl finisher…

The tooltips have always been wonky for the Arcanes, I don’t think anything actually changed.
If they nerfed the Arcane utilities under the table or just fixed the tooltip, I’d just like to be told in an official statement. I prefer making educated decisions about the utilities I use.
