Guild Wars 2

So I have a lvl 20 Ele in WvW. Definately a hard class to play unless you know what you are doing. I played a glass cannon / healer in LOTRO which is why I picked this class in GW2- it seemed similiar.

I just tried Structured PVP last night for the first time.

Questions:
1. I see I can respec my skills, but can I respec my talent points? If so, how? And what should I put the points into for dps damage role?
2. What should I use for weapons for dps? I was using scepter/dagger and found air and fire spells to be decent dps.
3. What should I use for gear? Is all the PVP gear free?
4. What about using Ele as support class in Spvp? I saw a video where an ele was acting as support class and lowering incoming healing on oppenents by 30%
5. Best skill rotation for ele in pvp?
6. Who should i target first? Who should i stay away from?

I welcome anything that can help me in Spvp on this character.

That’s the best advice anybody can give you around here ….

1. On the Hero Panel, Trait page in the mists. At a trainer (where you bought your manual) in Tyria.

2. Do you want to do condition damage or crits for damage? That’s the biggest choice for damage dealing, with any weapon being OK at a critical focus build, but really needing to go daggers or scepters for conditions. Usually, you’ll want to maximize Power and then either Precision or Condition Damage (or both, but then you’ll be missing defensive stats, which may be OK if that’s what you want.)

3. All the PvP gear in the Mists is free, so experiment what works best with your build.

4. Elementalists can be excellent support, but probably the key is to at least be able to routinely clear conditions from allies as frequently as possible; the Water trait line will help with that somewhat.

5 & 6 are too dependent on everything else to say for certain, except that melee is incredibly dangerous, even for dagger/dagger elementalists, so pick those melee fights carefully!
